Kevin Mullaney, a devoted husband, proud dad, loving Pop, and loyal friend, passed away on April 28th, 2025, at the age of 65, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family.
Kevin lived his life with generosity, purpose, and an unmatched sense of humor. He had a nightly ritual of playing the lottery, carefully choosing numbers based on the birthdays of his beloved family. For Kevin, it wasn't about winning big for himself-it was about sharing the joy. If his numbers ever hit, he was always ready to split the winnings equally among everyone he loved, just another example of his deeply selfless spirit.
As a father, Kevin's brand of "tough love" shone brightest on the fields-coaching Jacqueline's softball and Christine's soccer teams with passion, discipline, and heart. Whether it was game day or practice, he gave his all. He also took immense pride in running the snack stand, treating it like a full-fledged business operation, making sure every detail was just right and that everyone had what they needed-plus a few laughs along the way.
Kevin had a rare gift for building community. To him, neighbors weren't just people who lived nearby-they were family. There was rarely a day that went by without a driveway chat, a shared project, or some spirited banter that always left you smiling. He thrived on connection, whether it was with those next door, his colleagues on the road, or the countless friends he made throughout life. His work wasn't just a job-it was a network of friendships that he cherished deeply.
His proudest title, however, came later in life when he was promoted from "Dad" to "Pop" with the arrival of his cherished grandson, Nicholas. Kevin adored every moment with him, from playful silliness to backyard wiffle ball, where he was always ready to pitch one more ball, just to hear Nicholas laugh again.
Kevin's heart belonged to his beloved wife, Patty. Their bond was unbreakable-partners in every sense of the word. He couldn't and wouldn't do anything without her. One of their greatest accomplishments together was fulfilling their dream of owning a shore house after Hurricane Sandy-a place that symbolized resilience, love, and new beginnings.
Kevin had a lifelong passion for Philadelphia sports. He was a diehard Philadelphia fan through and through. Whether it was the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, or Flyers, Kevin watched, cheered, and sometimes yelled with equal passion, but his loyalty never wavered. He found joy in the victories and stayed true through the heartbreaks, always ready with a spirited commentary or a hopeful prediction for "next season." Some of his favorite recent memories were made in Clearwater Beach, where for the past four years he traveled with Jacqueline to catch the Phillies at Spring Training, soaking in the sunshine, the ballgames, and their special time together.
Kevin also had a soft spot for dogs, especially his faithful companions Molly and Macy. Their unconditional love and constant presence brought him peace, laughter, and companionship through every season of life.
Kevin is survived by his devoted wife Patty; loving daughters Christine and Jacqueline; son-in-law Dimitri; cherished grandson Nicholas; adored dogs Molly and Macy; brother Robert and sister-in-law Elizabeth Mullaney; sisters Eileen and brother-in-law Dave Wilkie, Maryann and brother-in-law Paul Maurer, Betsy and brother-in-law Michael Prince; and brother-in-law Robert and sister-in-law Cynthia Orson. He is also remembered with love by many nieces and nephews, extended family members, friends, neighbors, and colleagues who will miss his steady presence, kind heart, and infectious laughter.
Kevin's legacy is one of deep love, strong commitment, and joyful generosity. His memory will live on in every game coached, lottery ticket played, tail wag shared, and moment of laughter among friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30am at St. Andrew's Catholic Church 81 Swamp Road Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery 291 W. Durham Road Newtown, PA 18940. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00am to 11:00am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Kevin's honor to the Burlington County Animal Alliance, a cause close to his heart.
