Kevin Peeples, 65, of Brandywine, Maryland, passed away on the evening of December 24, 2025.
Kevin was a devoted family member, a cherished friend, and a passionate animal lover. She is survived by her son, Brian Hays (and his wife, Xandrea); her parents, Carol and Archie Rainey; her sisters, Deborah Bower (and her husband, John), Rebecca Rainey, and Emma Rainey; her beloved animal companions, Polo and Mia; and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Washington DC on September 21, 1960, Kevin graduated from Suitland High in 1978. She embarked on a varied career path through her life, most notably working at Curtis Property Management, where she dedicated over 40 years of service.
Kevin’s life was immeasurably enriched by her profound love for animals. Whether it was riding horses in her younger days or caring for the smallest kittens and puppies, her compassion knew no bounds. In recent years, Kevin was rarely seen without one of her cherished pets by her side, viewing them as an integral part of her family.
Beyond her devotion to her animals, Kevin found joy in attending auctions, indulging in reality television, and shopping with her friends and family.
The family will be remembering Kevin privately. If you feel inclined, the family kindly requests donations be made in Kevin’s memory to Big Guy, Littles World Sanctuary, a cause deeply close to her heart, at bigguylittlesworld.com.
