Kevin Brett Pickett age 61 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away October 26, 2024. Born November 27, 1962 in Norfolk NE to Norma Jean (Eslinger) and George William Darrell Pickett.
Kevin married Linda Quigley May 11, 1996. He worked for Northrop Grumman contracting with the Department of Defense until 2001 when he medically retired due to Multiple Sclerosis.
Kevin had a passion for family genealogy, and enjoyed researching family history. Another passion, along with his late wife Linda creating beautiful outdoor Christmas displays at their home in Colorado Springs, which they titled ColoradoXMas (ColoradoXmas.com) was the talk of the town, people lined the streets each year to watch the animated light show. Other hobbies and interests included camping, riding ATV’s, traveling, crafts, DIY home projects, woodworking and spending time with family and friends.
Kevin is Survived by son Tyler (Cassandra) Pickett of Gothenburg, NE, step daughter Heidi Lane of Colorado Springs, grandsons, Keegan & Kayden. Siblings Belinda (David) Peirce of Fremont, NE, Lisa Pickett of North Platte, NE, Trent (Tracey) Pickett of Wichita, KS, Trevor (Kristine) of Nixa , MO, LeeAnn Chambers of Nampa ID, Kathy (Elwood) VanRiper of Council Bluffs, IA, Donna Steppuhn of Council Bluffs, IA, many nieces & nephews.
Proceeded in death by wife Linda Quigley Pickett, mother and step father Norma Eslinger Chambers & Leon Chambers, father & step mother George William Darrell Pickett and Joyce Pickett, sisters Debbie & Pamela Pickett, step brother, John Chambers.
Final Resting Place Hartford Cemetery, Hartford, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Team Gleason, The ALS Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society or your favorite charity.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory, and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
