Kevin Royall Rollins Sr.

Newport News – Kevin Royall Rollins, Sr., born June 27, 1961, passed away August 3, 2024 from complications of heart surgery.
He was the son of Betty and Roland Rollins of Yorktown. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife and mother of his children, Tracy Vick Rollins.
Kevin was a 1979 graduate of Tabb High School, where he was a friend to many. He loved his family and it was evident how proud he was of his children. He was a man that loved to cook as well as bake. He made the best coconut shrimp, ribs, homemade bread, and so many other great dishes that will never taste the same without his "special touch." He was very creative and was adventurous when it came to trying something new. He always felt like he "could make that" and he never had any problem trying to make something that sparked his interest. He was quick with a joke, always happy and certainly always willing to help his friends and family if he could. He enjoyed drawing, painting, fishing, tinkering in his garage and repairing lawn equipment for others. His newest hobby was making stained glass garden stones.
Kevin is survived by many good friends and a loving family who will miss him; his namesake son Kevin Royall Rollins Jr. of Newport News, a daughter Kristin Rollins Applegate (Steven) of Zanesville, OH, and his youngest, Daniel Rollins (Noor) of Raleigh, NC, as well as his significant other Janice Rollins and her 3 children, Calvin, Ashleigh, and Trey and 5 grandchildren Camren, Kaden, Karmella, Calvin Jr., and Winter. He has 3 siblings, Nathan Rollins of Nashville, TN, Dennis Rollins (Barbara) of Yorktown and Susan Rollins Voss (Tommy) of Yorktown, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is also leaving behind his beloved, service animal and best friend Deogie who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life service will be held at Grafton Christian Church on Saturday, August 10th at 4:00 P.M.
