Born to be a lifelong summer spirit, Kevin Thomas Romano arrived on July 15th, 1986, ready to bask in the sun. Kevin's life ended on January 22nd, 2025, during one of the coldest weeks of the year, making his death even that much more unexpected.

Often the comic relief of a situation while sometimes being the reason a situation needed comic relief, he was fiercely loved by all of his family. Kevin could light up every room whether or not he was on time to it and never hesitated to crack a joke or pop the Sixers into any conversation. His family and friends thought there would still be many more summers to enjoy together in the future. Through his death we know we will never take a single moment for granted ever again.

Kevin was probably happiest when in the midst of a three-pointer or "down the shore" on his beloved Long Beach Island, NJ. Kevin loved dogs, boats, fishing, and surfing in the salt waters and coming home from the beach or his boat to his mother's meatballs and pasta and homemade pumpkin pie. After graduating Moorestown High School in 2005, Kevin maintained his love of sports, especially basketball, which he refereed in many local communities.

Promoted to Uncle in 2022, Kevin leaves behind a legacy of festive toddler engagement with such quotes as "Uncle Kevin says BANANA!" and an understanding of how important it is to give a little person the feeling that you are truly on their level.

Kevin had the kind of charisma that propelled him into conversations with strangers, allowing him to constantly learn about the world around him. A true adventurer at heart, he found people as interesting as places, especially if he was talking to someone about a topic he was a stranger to. No matter where Kevin journeyed, he brought his entrepreneurial spirit with him. He was always eager to learn something new. Self-taught in computer coding, there was hardly a day where he was not wearing his headphones and doing twenty-two things all at once. As a computer Software Architect working on high-level programs for various companies, Kevin also managed his own computer company, IMS Studio, where he got to be creative in programming and video production. A leader on many projects, Kevin was able to incorporate the ideas of others and always motivate his team to reach positive results.

Kevin was a constant learner. After attending Flagler College, he explored many different career paths. Like his Pop Pop before him, Kevin had a great mechanical intelligence about him. At ease with complex electronic gadgets, he was often able to provide solutions that no one else could capture. Whether it was solving a problem for a customer, helping his father/best buddy upgrade his graphic computer systems, or moving furniture or toddlers for his sister, Kevin was always ready to help.

Kevin leaves behind many heartbroken family members and friends who crave just one more conversation, even if it had to do with "computer stuff" none of us really understood. It would be extraordinary to just hear his voice so excited about something again. For all of us not to be able to get a word in edgewise.

Kevin is survived by his parents, John and Mary Romano (Burns), sister Bridget, brother-in-law Paul Bockius, nieces Vincenza Rose, Francesca Marie, Daniella Grace, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents and many other cherished family members he loved deeply. We know his constant companion, Snoopy, greeted him with many cheerful wags when they were reunited.

We love you forever, Kevin.

I grew up with Kevin, I´m at a loss for words. Gone too soon. He was one of the more genuinely kind and outgoing people in our class. Always smiling, talking basketball or sports with anyone, making friends with anyone and everyone.I´ll never forget the year the Sixers made the run to the championship vs the Lakers (Iverson years); no one wanted it more as fan than him. We weren´t good friends but I know if I saw him passing by on the streets he would have given me a hug and great big smile while talking great things. God rest your soul Kevin Romano..

I always thought he was a fun and extremely intelligent cousin of mine. I enjoyed every moment I got to and was interested in the ideas he had; he always had the best ideas to solve problems. I always wanted to be as hood as he was at that, but i couldn´t ever come close to it. I will always remember him as the fun, caring, and and an extremely creative genius.
