Barbara Ann Franckle (nee Carlson), age 86, died peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025. She is survived by her son, Dr. William Franckle, her two grandsons, Garrett and Maxwell, their mother Constance Franckle, her former husband William Franckle, her nephew John Craig (Karen), her nieces Beatrice Burdsall, Linda Griener, Pamela McLaverty (Brian), and Kimberly Gill; as well as many great-nephews and great-nieces. Barbara was predeceased by her five sisters, Yvonne Burdsalle (Raymond), Jacqueline Greiner (Norman), Elizabeth Carlson, Christine Craig (David), and Diane Carlson.

Barbara was a long-time resident of Collingswood. She worked at Pitney-Bowes in Philadelphia in the business equipment sales division until her retirement in 2002. In her personal life, she enjoyed many years of companionship with her long time friend, George Schappell, who sadly passed in 2004. Afterward, she loved to spend much of February each year in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with her sister Diane, where they made many friends together. Barbara had a zest for life. She loved her family very much, preferring to entertain at home making every meal a true delight. She also loved flowers - making beautiful wreathes and arrangements for the seasons.

Although Barbara had many health issues, she went through life with grit and determination. She was proud to be an independent woman living on her own to nearly the very end - her own terms and in charge. Her health finally failing, she was admitted to Virtua Hospital Marlton division and after a long stay succumbed to her illness surrounded by her family and the many caregivers there to whom she was very grateful. We will miss her smile and sense of humor, but especially the fierce and undeniable love she showed to her family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at St. John's Catholic Church, 809 Park Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, at the church. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ.
