Kevin Patrick Routledge

Kevin Patrick Routledge, 82, of Hendersonville, NC and
formerly of Rockaway Beach, NY died Easter Sunday
afternoon, April 9, 2023, following an extended illness.
Mr. Routledge was born on Wednesday, March 26, 1941,
in Manhattan, New York to the late Charles and Eileen
(Kearney) Routledge. On September 4, 1965, in Jackson
Heights, NY he married his loving wife of 57 years, the
former Elena Marie Trezini who survives. He proudly
served his country in the United States Marines receiving
an honorable discharge on May 31, 1963, He served as a
New York police officer for 20 years before retiring in 1985.
In addition to his devoted wife, "Toni" he leaves behind to
cherish his memory his children, Michael T. Routledge and
his wife, Regina of Rockaway Beach, NY, Danny W.
Routledge and his wife, Stephanie of Brooklyn, NY and
Kelly A. Quinn also of Rockaway Beach, NY; 9
grandchildren, Shannon, Taylor, Jack, Shawn, Samantha
Brendan, Brody, Nealy, Rowan and one rambunctious
great-grandson, Jackson. In addition to his parents, he is
preceded in death by his beloved brother, Brendan
Routledge who died on November 7, 1995.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Routledge will be celebrated
eleven o'clock, Saturday morning, April 15, 2023, at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Shawn O'Neal,
as celebrant. There will be full military honors at the
church before the Mass begins. A committal service will
be at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery ten
o'clock Monday morning, April 17, 2023.

Kevin will be forever missed by his loving and devoted
wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandson, and many
close friends. May God Grant Him Eternal Rest.
