Kevin Patrick Sanders, born on March 17, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio, departed this world peacefully on November 22, 2024, in the same loving city that cradled his beginnings. Kevin touched the lives of many, and his absence will be deeply felt by a host family and friends.
Kevin was proud to have retired from Vision and Vocation Services, dedicating much of his career to helping others. He was a jovial spirit and a jokester, known for bringing laughter and fun into the lives of those around him. He always enjoyed playful interactions with the kids in his life, leaving a lasting imprint on their hearts. Kevin's personality shone brightly in every family gathering, especially during cherished Fourth of July get-togethers and Thanksgiving celebrations, where he often reminded everyone of the importance of family and joy.
He was a proud graduate of West High School, class of 1983, after which he carved a life filled with interests that reflected his zest for life. He loved going to car shows, swimming at Uncle Tom's, and riding his beloved Harley—activities that highlighted his adventurous spirit.
Kevin found immense pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow up, relishing every milestone and moment shared with them. His dedication to family was unwavering, as he made sure to nurture deep and loving relationships with each member. He leaves behind his beloved children Cammy (Wayne), Caley (Derrick), Zacrey (Jessica), Aaron (Cassie), and Codey (and loving dog, Sable). Kevin's legacy of love continues through his grandchildren: Dustin, Tony, Ckiler, Sydney, Dylan, Nevaeh, Haley, Charles, Aaron, Lilly, Bristol, Victoria, Derrick, Zacrey, Jaylynn, Cason, Ben, and Chelsea. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Skyla, Cayden, and Isley.
Kevin is survived by his siblings: Terry, Donald, Lisa, Tim (Melvina), and Rick, who will forever hold his memory dear; as well as nieces, nephews, and special friend, Bobby Naus. He is also reunited in spirit with his father, Don Sanders, and mother, Louise (Curt Dawson) Sanders, as well as his beloved wife, Cindy Byas-Stewart, and Joann Reese, the mother of his sons. These relationships shaped him into the man his family cherished.
In honoring Kevin’s memory, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest in Grove City, Ohio, on December 1, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the same location. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, OH.
As we remember Kevin Patrick Sanders, we cherish the joyous memories he created and the love he cultivated within his family. His spirit will live on in the laughter of his children and grandchildren, reminding us all of the importance of family bonds and the joy found within them. Kevin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
