Kevin Eugene Taylor, 59, of Spencer, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Kevin was born on Monday, October 18, 1965 to the late Kenneth Eugene Taylor and Wanda Faye (Tresner) Wier. He grew up in Beech Grove, Indiana where friends became family, and married the love of his life, Dawn (Chitwood) Taylor on June 6, 2009; they settled in Spencer, Indiana. He served two years in the Navy and his professional career spanned over 34 years as an electrician. Kevin was an excellent singer and guitar player. He enjoyed sports of all kinds. Kevin loved camping, fishing, and being on the water. He and Dawn traveled extensively and loved being on the ocean. Kevin leaves behind his beloved wife, Dawn; daughters, Brittany Walker and Shelby Lawley (Lonnie); mother, Wanda; step mother, Diana Ferrand; sister, Kelly Ensminger (Dusty); step sister, Carolyn Cervello; grandsons, Carter Walker, Brighton Walker, Greyson Bowling, and Easton Terry; mother-in-law, Paula Chitwood; sister-in-law, Denise Robertson (Rick); brother-in-law, Dennis Chitwood. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; step-father, Edwin "Ned" Wier; brother, Kenny Taylor; sister, Diane Doss; step-brother David Wier. Kevin requested that there be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
