Kevin "Bubba" Joseph Turner, age 55 of Monroe, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Henry Ford Hospital of Detroit.
Kevin was born October 21, 1968 in Monroe. He is one of five children of the late Walter and Shirley (Palmer) Turner. Kevin graduated from Jefferson High School in 1987.
Kevin was a big time DJ in Monroe County. He went under the name KT Productions and was affectionately called Bubba. Kevin loved to have a good time with great people. He enjoyed singing karaoke and had a beautiful voice.
In his free time, he enjoyed going fishing, hunting, and watching drag races. Kevin liked to cook just about anything and loved to display his creations on Facebook. He always had his cell phone or his essential "lifeline" with him. Kevin had made many friends in his lifetime, and always kept in touch over FaceBook. He even had a small spot just for him at Ted's Campground, where his friends always looked out for him, whenever he was visiting.
Kevin will be remembered for his fun personality, making everyone around him always have a good time. Kevin loved to make others laugh. Nothing stopped Kevin from overcoming challenges during his life, he persevered through it all. Kevin most importantly, enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, especially his older brother, Ronnie, who he had a special connection with. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Kevin was the beloved brother of Ronnie (Kathy) Turner, Glenda Turner, Keith Allen (Lorna) Turner, and Kimberly (Chad Cochran) Turner and loving uncle of Ian Turner. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Shirley Turner. He is also survived by his best friend, for more than 40 years: Jeff Reaume.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Rupp Funeral Home starting at 11 am. Officiating is Rev. Larry Detruf. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place after services are concluded.
