With heavy hearts, the family of Kevin Lee Wesson, 64, announce his sudden passing on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Kevin was born and raised in Beeville, Texas on August 26, 1960, to Charles Lee Wesson and Shirley May (Pundt) Wesson. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to his career as a welder, where he utilized his skills and craftsmanship. He was also a proud 1979 graduate of A.C. Jones High School, having furthered his education by earning an associate’s degree. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Beeville. He loved taking his grandson, Sterling, hunting and fishing and was eagerly awaiting the day his second grandson, Ryland, could join them on their outdoor adventures.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee Wesson.

Kevin leaves behind a loving family who deeply mourn his loss including his mother, Shirley Wesson; his precious daughter, Mikayla Lee Sutherland; his cherished grandsons, Sterling Kash Sutherland and Ryland Reagan Lyne; his brother, Charles Gentry Wesson; and his niece and nephew, Sydney Lee Wesson and Robert Wesley Wesson.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will take place at 2 o’clock the following afternoon, January 26, at the same location with Rev. Greg Traylor officiating.
