Kice Kiril Stefanovski, 74, passed away at The James Cancer Hospital on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 after battling cancer. Kice was born on June 30th, 1949 in Stenje, Macedonia, to Kiril Stefanovski and Todorka Stefanovski. In 1974, Kice had the opportunity to immigrate to the United States, courtesy of his late brother, Krste Stefanovski. Krste successfully departed Macedonia to seek a better life for himself and his family, bringing his younger brother, Kice, along to pursue the "American Dream." Upon arriving in the United States with only $50 in his pocket, Kice successfully built a prosperous life for himself and his family. He studied Engineering Law at a small university in what was then referred to as Yugoslavia.
Upon arriving in the United States, he faced the difficult reality that his degree was not recognized in the country at that time. Kice accepted the news with contentment, grateful for the opportunity he had been given to come to the United States. He cherished a lifelong aspiration to become a business owner, even though it may not have been his initial plan, he remained committed in his determination to pursue this dream. After working numerous jobs, sometimes three at once, he never took time off in order to follow his aspirations. Kice always said "I will work until my hands, and feet stop working" and that is exactly what he did. In 1985, he launched his initial business endeavor, establishing a men's clothing and alterations store located in Bexley, Ohio. He had a bloodline of tailors in his family so he knew this was his calling. He aimed to ensure his customers received graceful treatment and left with confidence, reassured that their clothing had been tailored to their satisfaction. Following five years in Bexley, he relocated to Gahanna, Ohio, where he established "C. Stefano Custom Tailoring." Known as a "magic maker" to many customers, he dedicated 32 years in Gahanna to turning their visions into reality. Kice has been awarded the BBB award three times while working in Gahanna. He was the most selfless, loving, and genuine soul out there. He was the best father, a great husband, an amazing dedo (grandpa), and a wonderful friend. He is survived by his wife, Sofka; his son, Sasho; his daughter, Lilly; and his son-in-law, Pande; as well as his three granddaughters, who brought immense joy to his life: Izabella, Aleksandra, and Emilija. He is preceded in death by his father, Kiril Stefanovski; his mother, Todorka Stefanovski; and his brother, Krste Stefanovski. Family and friends may call Tuesday April 9th, 5-7pm. Evans Funeral Home 4171 E. Livingston Avenue. Funeral service Wednesday 1:00 p.m. St. Mary Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 400 S. Waggoner Road. Very Rev. Radovan Cekovski officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, E. Broad St.

I knew Kice because he was a client of the company in which I work. I generally only interacted with him on the phone. He was such a pleasant man to deal with and I always enjoyed our phone conversations. My heart goes out to Lily and her brother and mother.
