Kim Gaumond (Kaszycki), age 60, passed away on August 17, 2025 surrounded by her family at her son's home in Willimantic, Connecticut. Born on December 9, 1964 in Windham, Connecticut. Kim lived a life rooted in love for her family, friends, the outdoors, and animals. She also lived many years in Andover before moving to Tampa, Florida in 2016, then returning back to Willimantic 2025. She dedicated many years of her professional life to Liberty Mutual before retiring. Her work ethic and commitment were evident throughout her career, and she carried those same values into every aspect of her life. She was a beloved mother to her son Brandon Gaumond (Jamie Coal). Her joy extended to her grandchildren, Klareese McGuire, Caleb Gaumond, and Alexis Coal, who brought light into her life. Kim is also survived by her father Rudi "John" Kaszycki; her sister Tammy LaPlante (Dennis Lawrence) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kim was preceded in death by her loving husband Alan Gaumond; her mother Roberta "Robbie" J. Jacobs; and her grandparents Alice (Trudeau) Jacobs and Robert C. Jacobs. Those who knew Kim will remember her passion for the beach, rollercoasters, quad trail riding, camping, and the warmth of evenings spent around campfires. She had a deep affection for animals and once dreamed of working with them-a dream that reflected the kindness and compassion she carried in her heart. A celebration of life to be held at a later date. The family thanks Hartford Healthcare at Home for the support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family. May Kim's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
