Kim Davis Hearon, a beacon of joy and love, passed away on the 7th of May 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on October 2, 1962, in Andrews, Texas, Kim's life was a journey of unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Growing up in Andrews, Kim was a spirited presence in her family-full of laughter and kindness. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1981, and the friends she made there remained by her side throughout her life, even on her last day.
Kim married Russ Hearon on September 15, 2017, and together they created many cherished memories.
Kim's spirit will live on through her beloved family. She is survived by her husband, Russ Hearon; her daughter, Natasha Riley, and son-in-law, Stephen; her sons, Derek Griffin and Carter Griffin; her brother, Tommy Davis, and sister-in-law, Julie; her sister, Cindy Black; her adored grandchildren, Dylan Dobbins and Kaedence Riley; as well as her nieces and nephews, Brandon Black, Amanda Arnold, and Aaron Davis. Her great nieces, nephews, numerous friends, and extended family members will also hold her memory dear. Kim now joins her parents, Thomas "Red" Clark Davis and Billie Laverne Hogeland Davis, her brother-in-law, Mike Black, her nephew, Allen Davis, and her paternal and maternal grandparents in Heaven.
Kim's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She felt right at home at House of Mercy Church in Andrews where she nurtured her faith and fellowship.
Travel was one of Kim's greatest passions. Whether it was a girls' trip, a family vacation, or another adventure, she reveled in the experience of new places and cultures. The beach was her favorite destination, a place where she found tranquility and joy. Her adventurous spirit also loved the thrill of going on cruises, exploring the vastness of the ocean, and discovering the wonders of each port. Fishing was another pastime she cherished.
More than anything, Kim valued time with her family. She brought people together with her warmth, her quick wit, and her steady presence. Her laughter filled the room, and her stories were one's people remembered. To those who knew her, she was a source of strength, a trusted voice, and a loyal friend. Her absence leaves a space that can't be easily filled.
A memorial service will be held on May 17, 2025, at two o'clock in the afternoon at McNett Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Hammack officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the House of Mercy Ministries located at 1460 US-385, Andrews, Texas, 79714.
