Kim Plese Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weeks' Enumclaw Funeral Home on Dec. 20, 2025.
Kim was born on November 7, 1957, in Moses Lake, Washington. She was the third child of five born to Gayle Goodwin (Ulbrickson) and Donald Garneau. After the tragic passing of her Dad, Donald, Kim was raised with the support of Robert "Bob" Goodwin.

Growing up Kim enjoyed riding horses and showing sheep in 4H. During high school she performed in dramas, worked in a veterinary clinic, and skied with friends.

After moving to Enumclaw, Washington, Kim married her husband Michael Plese in 1984. In 1992 they welcomed twin daughters Caitlin and Kelly into the world.

Kim worked for many years in electrical construction for Sequoyah Electric. She worked as a general foreman on many buildings in the greater Seattle area, including her last job as general foreman for the Enumclaw Hospital. She was known for her strong work ethic, generosity, and willingness to always lend a helping hand.

After retiring in 2013, Kim and Mike traveled to many states, camping and watching both daughters play soccer and race bicycles. Kim loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed camping at Lake Chelan, hiking, and spending time working in her garden. She had a love for animals including her cat, Goldie and Cailtin's dog, Toby.

Kim also enjoyed many creative hobbies. She sewed baby quilts, dresses, and items for around the home. She created decorative holiday cards and enjoyed cooking and baking treats to share with family and friends, most notably her cookies and pies.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mike Garneau.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Michael Plese; her daughters, Caitlin (Joel) Carmody of Parkdale, Oregon. and Kelly Plese (Ryan Schooley) of Seattle, Washington.; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Kim will be laid to rest at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park. No services or flowers are planned. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
