Loving husband, dad and papaw, Kim Ranard, 70, a lifelong Morgan County resident, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus with loved ones by his side on Friday, April 4th, 2025, at Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. His life began on Wednesday, July 14th, 1954, in Martinsville, Indiana when he was born to the late Archie William and Beatrice (Dillender) Ranard. A loyal and faithful man of God, Kim would often express his love for his faith in song writing and singing. When his health allowed, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and other outdoor activities. However, Kim's greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were undoubtedly his pride and joy. He formerly worked as a welder for Twigg Corporation in Martinsville and worked in construction. He retired from Window Pro in Greenwood, Indiana, where he worked alongside his son, Adam. He leaves behind a host of loving family including his wife, whom he married on January 25th, 1973, Joyce Ann (Thacker) Ranard of Martinsville; sons, Ryan Ranard of Martinsville and Adam Ranard (wife, Jill) of Bargersville, Indiana; brother, Danny Ranard (wife, Brenda) of Martinsville; sister, Eva Massey (husband, Gary) of Martinsville and his grandchildren, Reagan, Pippa and Beau Ranard. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronnie, Mike, William and John Ranard and sister, Brenda Ranard. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 11th, 2025, from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating Kim's life will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville. Online condolences may be shared with his family at www.nealandsummers.com.
