Lifelong Morgan County resident, Bonnie Jean Dawson, age 83, gained her angel wings on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, at 7:52 PM. Bonnie passed away at the IU Methodist Hospice Center in Indianapolis. Her life began on Sunday, April 19th, 1942, in Morgan County, Indiana, when she was born the only child to the late Sherman and Helen (Awbrey) Dawson. Bonnie lived a simple and wholesome life. She was quiet and reserved; not one to easily make friends, though when she did, her friends were dear to her. She was a longtime member of the Corinth Baptist Church in rural Morgan County and a member of the graduating class of 1961 from Eminence High School. She spent her life being an extraordinary caregiver to family members and friends and she took great pleasure in shopping, going out to dinner with friends and gardening. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a dear aunt whom she lived with for many years, Barbara Bunnell, as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Her earthly remains will be laid to rest beside her parents in Crown Center Cemetery in Stilesville, Indiana, following a private graveside service on Friday, July 25th, 2025. Bonnie's final arrangements have been entrusted to Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Fond memories and condolences may be shared online at www.nealandsummers.com
