Kim E. Schnitz, 72, of Leland, IL passed away at his home on Monday, September 8, 2025. He was born on September 3, 1953 in Washington state on an army base. The son of Clarence and Joyce (Morel) Schnitz.
Kim’s passion was hunting and fishing. He had the pleasure of traveling all over the world to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them very much.
He is survived by his siblings, Curtis (Lynda) Schnitz, Claudia (Dan) Ness, and Kerry (Cynthia) Schnitz; ten nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 -6:00 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2025 and the Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, September 15, 2025 with Father Joseph Naill officiating both will be held at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk. Burial will follow at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Kim’s honor to the Northwestern Memorial Foundation.
