Mrs. Kimberly "Kim" (Sisk) Scott, 63, of Rock Spring, Georgia, received the ultimate healing on November 10, 2025 after an almost 7 year journey with cancer. Born on August 8, 1962, in Lakeview, Georgia, Kim lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and service to others.
A 1980 graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, Kim followed her calling in healthcare with unwavering dedication. She trained as an operating room technician in Chattanooga and earned her nursing degree from Dalton Junior College in 1988. Her career began at Erlanger Medical Center and continued at Hutcheson Medical Center, where she served in surgery, pediatrics, and home health. Most recently, she worked with Amedisys Home Health until retiring in 2020. Even while undergoing chemotherapy treatment, Kim continued to care for children by volunteering as a Cuddler in the NICU at Erlanger Medical Center.
Kim was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and a devoted member of Center Grove Baptist Church. Her faith guided her life and inspired her service through the Children's Ministry and Vacation Bible School. She gave generously of her time and spirit, always seeking to share Christ's love with others.
She was a loving mother to Jessica and Joseph (Allison) Scott. Her greatest joy came from being "Mimi" to her grandson Owen Scott. Kim is also survived by her husband Howell Scott; father Joe Sisk; brother Donnie (Dana) Sisk; many nieces and nephews who always brought a smile to her face. She was preceded in death by her mother Edna Sisk; sister Cindy Rogers; father-in-law Nelson Scott; mother-in-law Sammie Jo Scott; and nieces Allison Raulston and Diana Nicole Sisk.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 15, 2025, at 5 PM. Family will receive friends from 3 PM to 5 PM at Center Grove Baptist Church, 68 Center Grove Church Rd., Rock Spring, GA 30739.
May Kim's legacy of faith and love continue to shine in the lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center Grove Baptist Church Children's Program. Please contact the church office 706-764-2060 for further details on ways to give.
