It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kim Cartwright Taylor, that passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born on July 14, 1961, Kim brought light, compassion and love into every life she touched. Her kind heart, contagious smile and compassion made the world a brighter place. She made people feel valued and loved every day.
Kim graduated from Washington High school in 1979 and then attended Pitt Community College where she earned her nursing degree. She was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect and true compassion. She impacted the lives of her patients, their families and her colleagues.
She was a mother, daughter, a mimi, a cousin, a nurse and a friend- a beacon of hope and joy to those who knew her. She enjoyed helping others, going fishing, traveling, trying different foods and most of all, spending time with her family. Her legacy will impact her family, friends and generations to come.
She is survived by her mother and father, Clyde and Marion Cartwright, her daughter Kelli Taylor Daniels and husband Mac Daniels, grand-daughters Kailee Tyson and Allie Daniels. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin Cartwright and wife Theresa Cartwright and niece Caitlin Sosebee and many cousins, aunt and uncles.
A service will be held at First Church of Christ in Washington, NC, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 pm. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and the service will follow from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
