Late in the evening on August 28th, Kim Woods went home to be with her Savior. Born on August 26, 1958, to Nancy Wolgamott and David Johnson. Kim lived a life full of curiosity, compassion, and quiet strength. She often spoke about heaven with wonder and joy, never doubting that one day she would be there with Jesus.

Kim was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard; her father, Dave Johnson; and her beloved stepfather, Don Wolgamott.

She was blessed to spend the last 22 years with her husband Jim, her best friend and partner in crime. Together, they shared laughter, love, and a deep companionship that brought her peace and happiness.

Kim loved deeply-her family, her friends, and especially the little ones. She was always thinking of others, wondering how they were doing, and imagining the gifts she'd give if she could. Her heart was wide open, and her love was quiet but constant.

She leaves behind her husband Jim; her mother Nancy; her brothers Vance and Kevin (Jeanine's); her daughter Crystal (Ken); her stepson Matthew Woods (Becca); her granddaughters Seren Cunningham and Lucia Stanford; her grandsons Stanford Cunningham and Kal-El Woods; her nephews Russell (Jessica) and Tommy; and dear friends Carol Merrill, Sabin and Jayne Gautreau, and their sons Micah, Ethan, and Zakiah.

Kim will be remembered for her whimsical thoughts, the way her face lit up when her grandkids walked into the room, her deep love for animals, and the joy she found in bright colors and peaceful moments spent coloring. She delighted in spotting families of deer, kitties, hummingbirds, and watching beautiful clouds drift across the sky-simple wonders that always made her smile. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of life will be held for Kim at Sutherlin Family Church on October 10th at 1:00 p.m.
