Metamora, Michigan. Born on April 13, 1968, in Windsor, Ontario, to Eileen Garant and David Foster, Kim's infectious laugh and vivacious spirit were a gift to all who knew her.
Kim's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She was a cherished wife to her husband, Shane, and a nurturing mother to her beloved children, Spencer, Sophie, Sami, Shayna, and Shantel. Her role as a grandmother to Kinsley, Logan, Parker, Meadow, and Sage was one she embraced with every fiber of her being, showering them with affection and wisdom. Kim's family circle extended to her adoring niece Reyah, her playful nephew Mason, and she was a treasured sister-in-law and aunt within the wider family.
Her life was also marked by the loss of her dear sister Melanie and her son Simon, whose memories she held close to her heart.
Kim's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She found solace and joy in the tranquility of her garden, where she cultivated not just plants but also the seeds of lasting memories. Cremation has taken place, A Celebration of Life in honor of Kim will be held at Cascaddan Lounge in Metamora, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
