Kimberly Bryant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service on Feb. 23, 2026.
It is with great sadness the family of Kimberly S. "Susie" Goode Bryant, age 51 announces her passing into eternal life, hidden with Christ, Sunday February 22, 2026 at Four Seasons Hospice. After a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

Susie graduated from West Henderson High School in 1993. She worked in healthcare for many years taking pride in caring for others. Susie had a passion for baking, she was the BEST at making pound cakes. She was a member at Mills River Baptist Church.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her surviving family, her loving parents Robert "Donnie" and Ann Goode, her partner, Bobby Bryant, her sister, Pam Livingston (Gary), her two amazing sons, Travis Barnwell (Mercedes) and Logan Barnwell (Lindsey), her precious grandchildren, Addyson, Caden, Weston, Lanning and Langston, her special niece Lynsey Hossley (Corban) and great nephew Cohen. She is survived by many more loving family members. She loved her family and friends dearly. Susie and these precious ladies had such a true friendship and memories that will live forever: Crystal Cox, Shannon Allison, Wendy Wilkie, Carolyn Christianson, and her work family at Mills River Surgery Center. Thank you for all your love and support. Her sweet little kitty, Gracie Hope.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mills River Baptist Church, Saturday February 28, 2026 at 2o'clock in the afternoon with Pastor Tony Galloway officiating. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service

With gratitude for their expertise, compassion and guidance the family wishes to thank Dr. LeBlanc, MD at Novant Health, Dr. Rachel Rabb, MD and her team at Messino Cancer Center of Asheville, who always made Susie feel heard and safe in their care. The team at HOSPICE leant dignity to her final days and guided Susie's family with patience and clarity as they confronted her end-of- life challenges.

While many of us believed we were prepared for what was to come, it turns out we were actually bracing for impact. The impact of Susie's absence, the impact of a life being cut too short, and the impact of what could have been. We find peace in knowing that she is no longer in pain and walking with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
