KIMBERLY ANN BURGESS
Our beloved Kimberly Ann Burgess passed away on January 20th, 2023 due to a lengthy illness. She was 52 years old.
Born on March 31, 1970, in
Lowell, MA, Kimberly was a bright shining daughter who loved to be her mother's little helper and took on a motherly role to all her siblings as she was the oldest.
Kim's athleticism grew through her teenage years, becoming a cross country track star making good times at Central High of which she graduated from in
Manchester, NH. As Kim went off to get her Bachelor of Arts Degree at St. Anslem College, she worked additionally as her father's right winged woman running The Burgess Bargains Stores throughout NH, and setting up county fairs across the New England area.
On October 13, 1993, Kim gave birth to her beautiful daughter in Lebanon, NH. Katerina Alexis Duval came into this world as a premature baby, weighing 1 lb. and 1 ounce. She was Kimberly's miracle daughter and her absolute pride and joy, her greatest accomplishment in life.
Kim enjoyed travel, having been to Europe in her teenage years and made a home during her 20's in
Miami, FL with her daughter where she picked up her teaching education and taught kindergarten for a few years.
Kim was diagnosed with Kidney disease early on in her 20's and had a successful transplant In October 2003. For 3 years Kimberly lived life to the fullest with her new kidney and was making all the progress she could have hoped for. Sadly in 2006, her body rejected that kidney and Kim's recovery from then has been through years of dialysis, and a strong and positive mindset. Kim has lived in addition to Florida,
Lowell, MA, Deerfield NH in her childhood years, and Stowe VT during her transplant years. Kim eventually resided in Salisbury, MA with her daughter and the love of her life Robert Almquist.
Kim's favorite pastimes were writing, making jewelry to sell and filling her home with positive affirmations and angels. She loved the ocean and found comfort and solace in watching the waves and smelling the salty air. This was her daily healing ritual.
Kim's love of life and will to live was so powerful and strong that everyone who knew her and came into her life was affected deeply by her soul. She is loved by many near and far, having reached so many lives across the globe with her determination and positivity.
Kim is survived by her daughter, Katerina Alexis Duval and her Fiancé Robert Almquist, her Mother, Beverly Banocos, p. (Robert Banocos,), her father Thomas Burgess ll, p. (Susan Bennison,) her siblings: Thomas Burgess lll and p. (Missy Merell-Burgess), Bethany Bortree, and Jeremy Burgess p. (Jen Burgess). Her favorite nieces and nephews: Tristan Burgess, p. (Siobhan McVicker), Tage Burgess, p. (Emily Hess), Kaitlyn Bortree, Cheyenne Capri, and Ashley Gurgell, Jaiden Concepcion, Johnny Rodriguez, Jazalyn Sanabria and a beloved sister in law Grace Capri, a beloved step sister: Alicia Bennison and p( Ito Sababria), a step brother Kevin Macdonough, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kimberly is predeceased by her grandparents on both sides, as well as her Aunt Doreen Povone, and her loving stepsister Lauren Michelle Branco of January, 2003.
Kim's wishes were for her tissues and organs to be donated to research and her team of specialists and Doctors in kidney disease are fulfilling those goals.
A memorial celebration of life will be set at a later date and a notification will be made to all.
