Kimberly Sue Cress, 57, of Fremont, OH passed away on December 11, 2024 at Edgewood Manor in Port Clinton, OH. She was born on May 29, 1967 in Fremont, OH the daughter of Kenneth and Betty (Forgatsch) Cress. 

Kim was a graduate of School of Hope where she played on the basketball and bowling teams. She worked in the mailroom at News Messenger for several years. Kim loved life and enjoyed swimming, fishing, boating, music and watching wrestling. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially around a campfire.

Kim is survived by her sister, Deborah Blohm, Fremont; nieces and nephew, Kelly Shaffer, Kenneth (Nichole) Blohm and Kamee (Chad) Plough; great nieces and nephews, Dylan Blohm, Tristin Turner, Dalton Blohm, Reagan Shaffer, Taylor Plough and Trenton Plough.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Ernest Blohm.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in her honor to the Humane Society of Sandusky County.
