She was born in Maryland and was the daughter of the late Edward Lester and Opal Salyers Lester.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a babysitter for numerous children in the area. She attended the Charity Full Gospel Assembly in Doran, Virginia. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend to all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, David Greer; special cousin, Leslie Burr; and nephew, Logan Hubbard.
Survivors are:
Daughter: Megan Fields of Richlands, Virginia
Son: Elijah Fields of Richlands, Virginia
Sisters:
Tammy Mullins and husband, Jeff of Hurley, Virginia
Angela Barrett and husband, Weston of Pounding Mill, Virginia
Tonya Cordle and husband, Billy of Burlington, North Carolina
Terina Greer of Petal, Mississippi
Brother: Jamie Newberry and wife, Mandy of Springfield, Virginia
Grandsons of the Heart: Zaeden Williams and Ezra Wolford
Also surviving are Nieces: Ashley Cox (Kevin); Heather Sapp (Greg); Amnesty Wolford (Austin); Emily Greer (Steven); Kailee Newberry; Brihaunah Newberry; one nephew, Seth Greer; and a host of family and friends.
Other surviving family members include:
Stepmother: Ollie Lester of Rosedale, Virginia; Sisters: Nerissa Yates, Vanessa Richardson, Cristie Hale, and Leslie Stiltner.
Family of the Heart: "Poppy" Andrew Blankenship; "Mom" Sharon Blankenship; Sisters: Jennifer "Sis" Lester and husband, Tim (Bub); and Rachel Blankenship; Nephew: Caleb "P-Drew" Lester.

Funeral services for Kimberly Dawn Lester Fields will be conducted Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Tim Lester officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Uncle Johnny Lester, Austin Wolford, Jamie Newberry, Keegan Bartley, Randy Baker, Seth Greer, Zaeden Williams, and Tom Cordle. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of Charity Full Gospel Assembly. Friends may visit from 6pm until 9pm on Saturday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia is in charge of arrangements and those wishing to express sympathy online may do so at www.hurstscottfuneralhomes.com
