Kimberly Marie "Drake" Goode

Kimberly Marie (Drake) Goode, known as Kim, passed away at her home in Hendersonville, North Carolina on 09/28/2025.

Born 01/19/1966, Kim was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Janet Drake, her ex-husband Gary Goode, her grandson Jayce Gross and her life partner Mike Lollis.

She is survived by her daughter Amber (Jason) Gross and her grandchildren Alexis Gross, Jaydn Gross, Sara Gross Savannah McDaniel, Heaven Gross and Rylee'ann Gross. She was also survived by her brother Ronnie Drake and his wife Yung, her nephews Aaron Drake and Charlie Drake, her nieces Julie (Brandon) Siddoway and Jennifer Drake as well as many close friends she considered family

Kim was raised in Madison County and was a 1984 graduate of Madison County High School. She attained degrees at Athens Technical College in Early Childhood Development and Medical Assisting. Later Kim and her sweetheart Mike moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina to fulfill their dream of living in the mountains.

Kim can be described as a extraordinary mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved her dog Moses, lovingly referred to as MoMo, Nascar, The Georgia Bulldawgs, good music and time spent with family and friends. Kim was a strong woman with a very direct, no-nonsense demeanor. You never had to wonder how she felt because she would tell you with blunt honesty. If you asked her opinion, you better be thick skinned enough to handle it. Her lived experience and wisdom were passed down to many and her guidance strengthened those who sought it. If you were fortunate enough to call her friend, you knew you could count on her always. She was tremendously loyal and she loved her family and friends. Kim's presence will be missed by us all.

There will be a private family memorial held to honor her life at her final resting place, beside her family in the Colbert Cemetery.
