Kimberly "Kim" K. Fitchett, age 55, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025. A Private Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date and time. Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Kim was born on September 28, 1970, in Flint, Michigan to Ronald & Linda (McDaniel) Fitchett. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School, class of 1988. Due to her struggles with health concerns Kim was unable to work, but was previously employed at Stride Rite Shoes as a salesclerk and manager. Kim loved the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She enjoyed the preparations in getting the house ready with seasonal decor and planned special dinner parties for her family and friends. She was not only a wonderful host but a good cook. Kim enjoyed watching classic movies, her favorite was the original Wizard of Oz. She was even able to see the Wizard of Oz on Broadway. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals and had several doggies throughout her life. Above all she cherished her family and adored her niece Abigail, who she loved to spoil, and nicknamed "short pants".
She is survived by her mother, Linda Fitchett; sister Kerry (Matthew) Ludwig; niece, Abigail Irving and other family members and friends.
Kim is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Fitchett; grandparents, Gerald (Leona) Fitchett & Charlie (Dorothy) McDaniel and her beagle, Coco.
