It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly Maestas, who left this world on August 17, 2025, at the age of 36. Born on November 14, 1988, in
Denver, Colorado, Kimberly brought joy to all who knew her, and her vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed.
Kimberly was the beloved daughter of Albert Maestas and Shirley Maclean. She grew up in a loving family and was deeply connected to her siblings, including her brothers Chris Maclean-Maestas and Isiah Maestas, as well as her sisters-in-law, Priscilla Maldanado Maestas and Lizete Quintana Maestas. She was also the proud aunt to her niece Jayla Maestas and nephew Izekiel Maestas, who were fortunate to have her in their lives.
A graduate of Adams City High School, Kimberly was known for her dedication and hard work. After completing her education, she became a valued member of the Adams County School District 14, where she worked as a kitchen worker, serving meals and nourishing the students in her community.
In her personal life, Kimberly was a devoted wife to Anthony Castor, with whom she shared 14 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they created a warm and loving home, filled with laughter and joy. Kimberly was especially proud of her daughter, Harmoni Castor, whom she adored and cherished above all.
Kimberly had a passion for sports that defined her character. She was a passionate fan of the Denver Nuggets and the Kansas City Chiefs, always cheering for her teams and supporting her brothers as they played and coached basketball. Her love for the game extended to her niece, whom she often watched play, celebrating each basket and cheer with infectious enthusiasm. Also a lifelong WWE fan in which she watch her favorite John Cena.
Kimberly's laugh was truly infectious, a melody that could brighten the darkest of days. She had a unique knack for staying connected with everyone in her life, whether it was to say hello, wish them goodnight, or engage in playful banter with the Denver Broncos fans in her family. Her big heart and genuine spirit of involvement made everyone feel cherished and loved.
Her family and friends are invited to celebrate her life during a funeral service at New Hope Ministries in Commerce City on September 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In honoring Kimberly's memory, we extend our gratitude to New Hope Ministries the church she loved, and to everyone who made an impact in her life, particularly Albert, Shirley, Chris, Isiah, and Anthony, for their strength and perseverance in arranging these services.
