Stumpy Point, NC
Kimberly Michelle McDuffie, a beloved mother and friend, passed away at her home in Stumpy Point, NC, on November 2, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on October 26, 1983, at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, NC.
A graduate of John T. Hoggard High School in 2002, Kimberly recently fulfilled a personal goal by earning her associate's degree in psychology in late June 2025.
Kimberly's greatest joy was her family. As a devoted stay-at-home mother, she dedicated her life to raising her three children. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing and boating around Dare County. Kimberly also enjoyed collecting vintage clothing while sipping on a hot coffee.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Michael McDuffie, Sr., who passed at the age of 48. Kimberly is survived by her loving mother, Annie McDuffie (64); her significant other, David Brinn (63); and her cherished children, McKenzie Brinn (18), Colton Brinn (17), and Taylor Brinn (13), all of Stumpy Point, NC. She also leaves behind her brother, John McDuffie, Jr. (40), of Wilmington, NC.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Kimberly_McDuffie_Memorial_Fund to assist with expenses, which will greatly benefit her children during this difficult time. Donations may also be made in person at Twiford Funeral Homes (500 Budleigh Street, Manteo, NC or 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC) or mailed to Twiford Funeral Homes at P.O. Drawer 405, Elizabeth City, NC 27907.
Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
