It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kimberly Nicole Payne, who left this world on January 21, 2025, at the age of 33. Born on January 15, 1992, in Austell, GA, Kimberly was a lifelong resident of her beloved community. She graduated from South Cobb High School and cherished her time as a member of Concord Baptist Church, a place that offered her strength and a sense of belonging.
Kimberly was a passionate Georgia Bulldog football fan, whose enthusiasm for the game was matched only by her love for family and friends. She took great joy in spending time with her nephew, Nikolas, and created many fond memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. Kimberly also enjoyed watching wrestling, often laughing and sharing those moments with loved ones, reflecting her vibrant spirit and playful nature.
Though she faced challenges in her life and never pursued a traditional occupation, Kimberly's heart was always open, and she found fulfillment in the simple joys that life offered. She is preceded in death by her father, Marty Payne, and her beloved grandmother, Shirley Floyd.
Kimberly is survived by her devoted mother, Marsha Payne, Austell, GA; sister, Katie (Cody) Manning, Austell, GA; aunt and uncle, Cheryl Henderson, Marietta, GA, and Mark Floyd, Mableton, GA; grandfather, David Floyd, Mableton, GA, and many cousins along with a network of cherished family and friends who will hold her memory close in their hearts.
Funeral services for Kimberly will take place at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory on January 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where all are invited to celebrate her life and the impact she had on those around her. A visitation will be held on January 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. Kimberly will be laid to rest at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton, GA.
As we come together to bid farewell to Kimberly, let us remember the light she brought into our lives and the love she gave so freely. May her spirit continue to inspire and comfort us as we navigate life without her.
