Kimberly Root, beloved teacher and devoted mother, passed away on January 13, 2025, in Windsor, NY. Born on December 24, 1981, in Germany, Kimberly dedicated her life to inspiring the minds of her students. She cherished the opportunity to nurture young learners.
Kimberly was a shining light in the lives of her three children, embracing every moment with them through camping trips, hiking adventures, and kayaking excursions. Her love for the outdoors reflected her vibrant spirit and adventurous nature. Kimberly's passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, as she instilled a sense of curiosity and a love for learning in her children and students alike.
She is survived by her husband, Rick and her three children, her mother, Ute (Robert) Bischoff, brothers Brad and Josh Scheffler. Kimberly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to education and family.
A visitation will take place at DeMunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service 36 Conklin Avenue Binghamton, NY 13903 on January 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Kimberly's life and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
