Kimberly Jo Solko, 43, was born in Oberlin, Kansas to Ronald and Diana (Yost) Solko on March 10, 1981. She passed away in Oberlin, Kansas on January 27, 2025.
Kimberly graduated from DCHS in May of 1999. She then attended McCook Community College for two years majoring in Business Administration. Her first job was working at Dale's Fish-n-Fun in Oberlin. She truly enjoyed working there helping hunters and fishermen. She then became a bank teller at The Bank in Oberlin in February of 2013.
Kimberly enjoyed bowling, playing darts, going to car races and listening to country music. She was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker football and volleyball fan. Her family was very important to Kimberly. Spending time with her nephew Dylan was extra special. Kimberly was a friend to everyone and always had a smile on her face. She was kind, caring and had a beautiful sweet soul. She was always bursting with joy and she liked helping the community.
Kimberly is survived by her parents, Ronald and Diana Solko of Oberlin, KS; brother, Rodney (Erica) Solko of McCook, NE; special nephew, Dylan Solko also of McCook; several aunts, uncles and numerous friends as well as co-workers. She was preceded by her grandparents, LeRoy & Deretha Yost and Clarence & Monica Solko.
A Rosary will be held at Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin. Inurnment will be at the Oberlin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make your memorials to Helping Hands or the Sunflower Recreation Center-Bowling Alley, send in care of Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home 121 N. Penn Ave. Oberlin, KS 67749.
