Kimberly Christine Stokes, 57, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Wendover Hospice in Shelby.
She was born in Rockford, Ill on August 24, 1966, to the late Lois Irene Stokes.
Kim loved to travel, with the beach being her favorite place to visit. She enjoyed sitting in the recliner watching the hummingbirds. Most of all she loved her grandchildren. She was a feisty and loving soul. Kim was an advocate for breast cancer awareness.
In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Ann Perin, JoAnn Futch, Bryan Stokes.
Kim is survived by her son, Jeremy Stroud; daughter, Cortney Cooke (Michael); brothers, Chris Stokes, Joe Stanfield; sister Debra Lynn (Kenny); grandchildren, Todd Stroud, Zakkary Stroud, Addielynn, Kennedi, Kane, Ashton Cooke; niece, Jessica Costner; great-niece, Katelynn Costner.
No services are scheduled at this time.
The South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service is honored to serve the Stokes Family.
