Kimberly Sue Sullivan, 65, of Cornwall Bridge, CT, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, surrounded by loving family. She was born in Sharon, CT, on April 20, 1959, the youngest of five sisters. She lived in the northwest corner and loved the rural life, often remarking, "I'm a country girl". She took great pride in her work of many years as a housekeeper at the Salisbury School. She often expressed taking comfort in her family members achievements, hard work and journey towards happiness.
Kimberly was a simple, kind-hearted, fun-loving lady. She enjoyed hiking, baking, and crafts including sewing, quilt-making, and crocheting. She made her own essential oils and loved gardening and plant knowledge. She made exquisite gingerbread churches and villages at Christmastime. She adored The Nutcracker. In her youthful years, she loved Girl Scouting, figure skating, and roller coasters. Kim loved all animals, especially tigers, and her much-loved cats. She enjoyed puzzles and games, especially word games. She was a true survivor; she was proud of being a peer support specialist with over twenty years sobriety and an active community member of Prime Time.
Kimberly is survived by her three daughters, whom she had great love for, Colleen Motuzick and husband Jozef, Aileen Sullivan and partner Bill, and Norreen Sullivan and husband Derek, also by three grandchildren, and her sisters Diana Hawes, Melody Wright, and Cathy Correa. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Sherry.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours 2:00-3:00pm and memorial service at 3:00pm at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home 283 Torrington Rd. Litchfield, CT on Saturday, October 19, 2024. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susan B. Anthony Project or Prime Time House.
