And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death neither sorrow, nor crying neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:4
Kimberlyn Marie Martin, born July 19, 1996, departed this life far too soon, along with her unborn daughter, Olivia, on July 27, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, due to a tragic act of violence.
Kimberlyn was a devoted and loving mother to three beautiful daughters who were the light of her life. She worked tirelessly to ensure they were loved, cared for, and supported. Her strength, determination, and unconditional love were evident in every aspect of her life.
She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, laying a foundation of faith that she carried with her throughout her life. Kimberlyn was educated in the Ascension Parish School System and was known for her vibrant personality and gift for storytelling. She had a passion for sharing her life and connecting with others, often going live on social media to spread laughter and joy.
Kimberlyn will be remembered as a hardworking, resilient woman who faced life's challenges with courage and grace. Her sense of humor, magnetic energy, and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her three daughters, Royelle Davis, Cali, and Dior Martin; her loving mother, Kim Owens of Gonzales; her sister, Kie Martin of Baton Rouge; maternal grandmother, Lois Martin of Gonzales; paternal grandfather, Herman Owens of Donaldsonville; uncle, Roy Owens of Baton Rouge; niece, Khealni Martin of Baton Rouge; nephew, Kingston Windsor of Houston, TX; her first cousin whom she affectionately called "Uncle," Donald Ray Owens; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Kimberlyn was preceded in death by her unborn daughter, Olivia; her father, Donald Owens; her paternal grandmother, Olivia Owens; one aunt, Karen Owens; and her great-grandparents, Sarah LeBlanc, Johnny Martin, and Ida Martin.
Her light, her laughter, and her love will never be forgotten.
