Kimheng Chou

Kimheng Chou, 75, of Lowell, MA, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Chhay Cheam. Born in Kampong Cham, Cambodia, she was the daughter of the late Ma Van Chu and Mai Th En. She grew up in Battambang, Cambodia, where she spent much of her early life before coming to the United States in 1983. Upon arriving in the U.S., she made her home in Lowell, MA, where she lived for the remainder of her life. In Cambodia, Kimheng supported her family by selling food and drinks, and she owned and operated a very successful smoothie shop. After settling in Lowell, she continued her entrepreneurial spirit by helping her son run a dessert shop and bakery on Branch Street. Kimheng had a deep passion for cooking and enjoyed preparing all types of food. She also loved knitting, singing karaoke, and spending time with her friends. Her warmth, generosity, and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Mickie Chou of Lowell; her daughter, Kimheang Chou, and her partner, Davis Lat, of Lowell; and four grandchildren, Falisha Lat, Kevin Lat, Justin Lat, and Mylina Lat. She is also survived by her three younger sisters.
