We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of Kirk Douglas Allen of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, who passed away at home one day after his 66th birthday, Monday, October 16, 2023. Kirk was born in Princeton, NJ to Raymond and Bettylou (née Peterson) Allen.
Kirk, a lifelong resident of Lawrenceville. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1975. and the eldest of 5 children, grew up on Manning Lane, and eventually moved across town to start a family and begin his business, Allen's Painting, which he owned & operated for 30 years. Kirk loved family vacations, fishing, golf outings with close friends, and spending time with family in Long Beach Island. As an avid sports fan, Kirk enjoyed watching football & baseball, and as his children's biggest supporter, he took pride in coaching his son's baseball teams and attending his daughter's sporting events. Family & friends will dearly miss Kirk and his infectious laugh which always brought a smile to those who knew him best.
Kirk is predeceased by his father and survived by his mother, his children Tracey Allen & Scott Allen, his siblings Cyndi (Jim) Sferra, Jill (John) Heim, Craig (Laura) Allen and Randall Allen, as well as 2 nieces, Lauren (Chris) Cray & Rachel Allen, nephew, Ben Allen, and his beloved grand-dog Luna.
The family is privately grieving and will hold a memorial in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a charity close to your heart.
