Kiye Cha Obituary

Born in Shindeok-ri, South Korea, she came to the United States with her husband and 5 of her children to snowy Minnesota in 1982. After many years working and then retiring, she enjoyed dancing, singing, gardening, cooking, and watching her grandchildren grow. She is well known for her delicious Korean dishes especially her kimchi and eggrolls. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren visiting her at the assisted living.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ilbong Chong (father), Daeim Kim (mother), husband, Youngsoon Cha, older brothers, Chaedong Chong, Chaesoon Chong. Younger sister, Yonye C. Patterson. Survived by her children, Hyangja (Dongmyung) Kang, Hyangnim (Daehui) Lee, Hyangsook (Richard) Maddaus, Hosuk (Mekyong) Cha, HoJoon (Jennifer) Cha, Jay (Janete) Cha; grandchildren, Hyeson (Dyukjin), Lydia (Andy), Seonggoo, Tyler (Danielle), Simon, Brian (Ashley), Peter, Hyelim, Shawn, Kevin, Hanna (Brody), Silvia, Evan, Melina, Harrison, and Montgomery, great-grandchildren, and brother, Chaechun (Toksu) Chong. nieces, nephews, many relatives as well as friends.
A Visitation will be held at White Funeral Home, located at 14560 Pennock Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124 on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment: Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
