WELLINGTON -KLene Wilson Powell returned to her Heavenly Father on January 12, 2026, after a long, full, and joyful life marked by faith, service, and love.

KLene was born on April 12, 1948, in Price, Utah, to Merrion "Jack" and Viola Wilson. Married Ken J. Powell on April 11, 1970, in the Manti Temple.

Her most important roles in life were being a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served tirelessly in both her church and community. She was president of the Wellington Chapter of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and played a vital role in countless community traditions. KLene organized Wellington's annual 24th of July celebrations, including the parade, beauty pageant, park activities, and car show. She also ran the annual craft fair, coordinated the outdoor Christmas pageant, and ensured the success of the Jr. Jazz program for local youth.

KLene was a gifted and passionate teacher. She taught preschool and piano, served as a substitute teacher in local schools, and was a PTA president. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader and Cubmaster, and she served faithfully in many church callings, including Primary president, member of the Relief Society presidency, and Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ken Powell; her children, Jamie and Kathy Powell, Krisanne and Barry Dearden, Torrey and Jennifer Powell, Kendrick and Susan Powell, and Kerry and Alicia Powell; and her 20 grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merrion "Jack" and Viola Wilson; brothers, Arvil Wilson and Earl Dean Wilson; sister, Patsy Danielson; and grandchild, Keaton.

Funeral service, Saturday, January 17, 2026, 2:00 p.m., Wellington 4th Ward Chapel (47 North 100 East, Wellington, Utah 84542), where the family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 p.m., prior to the service.
