Kochuparampil Thomas, born on August 17, 1951, in Mulanthuruthy, Kerala, entered eternal rest on May 30, 2025. A devoted husband to Mary Kutty for 46 years, loving father to Mewin and Anjali, and proud grandfather to Jaime, Thomas's life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and love.
A former serviceman in the Indian Border Security Force for 15 years, Thomas later immigrated to the United States, where he continued to work with tireless dedication-from Maharani Indian Cuisine in Fort Lee to Merk Medco in Parsippany, and through the many Indian restaurants across New Jersey he helped build and serve.
Rooted in deep spiritual faith, he was a lifelong member of Marthoman Cathedral in Mulanthuruthy, a cherished member of St. George Syrian Orthodox Church in Carteret, and an active and beloved member of St. James Syrian Orthodox Church in Wanaque.
Relatives and Friends may visit from 4-5PM Thursday, June 5th, with a service to follow from 5-9PM, at St. James Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, 7 Conklintown Rd, Wanaque, NJ 07465. Services are under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ.
Thomas will be remembered for his warm heart, unwavering work ethic, and the deep love he held for his family, community, and faith. May his memory be eternal. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Kochuparampil, please visit our Tree Store.
