Konrad “Konnie” M. Phalin, 70, of Elkhart Lake, passed away on May 30, 2023 surrounded by family. Born on June 1, 1952 to the late Gerald and Mary Ann (Meyer) Phalin in Sheboygan. He graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1970. Konnie drove trucks his whole life and retired due to health issues.
Konnie married the love of his life Donna Hephner on July 3, 1986. Family was very important to him. He enjoyed family time especially on Christmas. Playing various games such as dominos and card games were his favorite pastime. Konnie was known for his joke telling, he always made people laugh.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Jennifer (Brian St. Martin) Krueger and Amy (Travis) Van Ess; Holly Phalin, who is like a daughter and Jesse Mendez, who is like a son; 7 grandchildren, Austyn Mendez, Lily (Josh Justinger) Mendez, Chloe (Damian) Kopec, Marcel Mendez, Mariah Van Ess, Grant Van Ess and Carter Gabrielse; 2 great-grandchildren Esme and Elena; 2 brothers, Kim (Celeste) Phalin and Kevin (Ann) Phalin; 3 sisters, Gerriann (Larry) Porter, Maureen (Mike) Lueck and Gale (Tom) Graefe, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Konnie was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank all of the medical staff for their care and compassion over the years.
All services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Konnie’s honor to a charity of your choice.
