Konstandina Bazor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hughes Funeral Home and Crematory - Daphne on Feb. 3, 2026.
Konstandina "Dina" Demetropulos Bazor, born August 3, 1961, passed peacefully on January 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, faith, and joy that touched everyone who knew her.

Dina was truly a force of nature. Her strength, courage, and resolve inspired all of us. She carried herself with grace, always with a smile on her face and love in her heart. She was the life of the party-full of laughter, music, and warmth-yet deeply grounded, loyal, and unwavering in her devotion to those she loved.

She was married to her beloved husband, Mark Bazor, for 46 years. They were high school sweethearts who attended McGill-Toolen together, meeting during spring break at Gulf State Park. It was a love story rooted in friendship, commitment, and faith. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family.

Dina was the proud mother of two children, Alexandria and Christopher, and an even prouder grandmother to six grandsons, who were the absolute light of her life.

Alexandria and Chris Jennings
Children: Trey (24), Cole (22), and Chase (20)

Christopher and Shirin Bazor
Children: Kailou (14), Koehn (11), and Keanu (6)

If there was an event in any of the boys' lives-sports, band, school programs, or awards-Dina was there. You could scan the crowd and find her immediately, cheering the loudest, supporting wholeheartedly, and beaming with pride.

Family was everything to Dina. She cherished simply being together, sharing meals, watching movies, working on puzzles, spending time by the pool, or going for a boat ride. Friday nights were family dinner nights, a tradition she held close. Vacations were family vacations, filled with togetherness and adventure.

She loved to travel and explore with her family, taking several trips each year. From watching the leaves change in the Smoky Mountains, skiing in the Rocky Mountains, snorkeling in the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, to quick stops at Universal Studios for rides and shows-every trip was made richer by her presence. She hiked in Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina, white-water rafted, skied in Colorado, and always embraced the joy of discovery.

Dina loved being on the water-boat rides, sunsets, and the peace they brought her. Music was always playing in the background of her life, and she loved to dance, filling rooms with energy and happiness.

Health and movement were important to her. She faithfully went to the gym every morning, loved her cardio dance classes, and even taught them at times. On days she wasn't at the gym, she was out walking, always in motion.

She had an incredible green thumb and found peace in caring for her plants and garden. She truly could grow anything.

One of her favorite times of year was Mardi Gras. Whether dressed in a ballgown or a costume, she was always ready to celebrate. She loved riding on floats throwing beads or standing along the parade route catching them. Becoming Queen of her organization was a lifelong dream-and this year, it was finally her turn. She chose the theme, designed the stage and train, and poured her heart into every detail. While she didn't get to see her vision come to life, we know she will be there in spirit, watching proudly.

Dina enjoyed football, especially Alabama football, and loved decorating-every season and holiday transformed her home into something special.

She was a devout Catholic. No matter where she traveled, she always found a church to attend Mass. A prayer warrior who held her rosary close, her faith was quiet, steady, and deeply rooted-it was the foundation of her life.

Above all, Dina was a true friend-loyal, compassionate, always ready for a conversation, and always there when someone needed her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Katherine Demetropulos.

She loved life. She loved her family. She loved her friends.

I still can´t get my head around this! I remember the little girl and how much Aunt Katherine and Uncle George adored her. How sweet she always was. I remember how sweet she and Mark were as young soulmates and how proud they were of their children and grands. Time and distance take away extended families seeing each other. My heart aches for this family ,so close to one another. I pray God will be with them. Love and prayers!
