Konstantin "Konny" Hannemann, born on June 16, 1931, in Romania, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, affectionately known as Opa.
Konstantin dedicated many years of his professional life as a gold and enamel polisher for the Herff Jones company, where he contributed to the creation of cherished class rings. His strong work ethic and commitment to his craft were reflected in both his professional accomplishments and his life at home.
An individual of notable character, he embodied the spirit of mentorship and exhibited a strong faith that guided him and those around him. Family was Konstantin's proudest accomplishment, and he instilled values of love and togetherness in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
His warmth extended beyond family as he was well-loved for his vibrant personality. Konstantin was an enthusiastic dancer, known to light up any event with his moves. He also had a passion for cooking, with culinary delights such as pumpernickel borsch, stuffed peppers, and melt-in-your-mouth cabbage rolls that were favorites among his loved ones. His affinity for musical entertainment led him to enjoy movies with uplifting narratives, particularly "The Ten Commandments" and "Mary Poppins."
Konstantin is survived by his loving daughters, Silvia (Stevenson) Parrish, Mariane (Charles) Huckleberry, and Sandy (Toby) Risner along with a legacy of grandchildren, including Nesa (Victor) Rojas, Nicole Parrish, Kathryn (Jeff) Bragdon, Rebecca (Tyler) Westell, Jessica Parrish, Megan Risner, and Shelby (Tyler) Berryman. Additionally, he is lovingly remembered by his eleven great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren who brought joy to his life.
He now joins his beloved deceased family members, including his parents Rudolph and Ruxandra Hannemann, and his beloved wife Erika Hannemann, in eternal rest.
