April 2, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Kori Ann Fitzpatrick's passing on April 2, 2025. Born on July 24, 1974, in Burien, WA, Kori left us on April 2, 2025, but her memory will always bring light to family, friends, and those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kori was the cherished daughter of Brian and Patty Fitzpatrick. She had a special connection with her sisters Shannon Shepherd and Erin Price, and she was the proudest aunt to Riley and Sidney Shepherd and Owen, Aiden, and Rory Price. Kori was loved by her aunts and uncles: Bob and Sharon Rowland, Ed Fitzpatrick, John and Diane Fitzpatrick, Kerry Covey, Gerald Anderson, and cousin Gaibrealle Anderson.
Kori was part of the warm extended family of Patty Barnes, Bill and Linda Price, Kelly Shepherd, Todd and Shannon Hofmeister and considered herself an aunt to Colin and Erin Hofmeister.
A proud graduate of Federal Way High School in 1993, Kori was all about the Eagles' spirit. She was the enthusiastic student manager for the girls' soccer team, which was nationally ranked. After high school, Kori had a fulfilling career with various employers, always bringing joy and making lasting friendships. Her dream job was with the Mariners, where she rocked guest relations, the Kid Zone, helped manage Ken Griffey Juniors fan mail and was Ichiro's biggest fan.
Kori's love for the Mariners was legendary-she knew all the stats and could chat with anyone about her favorite team and players. And if you knew Kori, you knew not to mention her least favorite MLB teams, the "Spankeys."
Kori spent 13 years at Seattle City Light in downtown Seattle, where her dedication and enthusiasm left a lasting impression. Her last job was with Northwest Mutual, where she continued to spread positivity and commitment.
Kori's passion for sports went beyond her work life. She was actively involved in the Federal Way Special Populations and
Special Olympics programs, competing fiercely in basketball, track and field, baseball, and soccer. Her love for bowling was unmatched; she had her own bowling ball, shoes, and was known for throwing impressive strikes and turkeys.
Kori had a special twinkle in her eye when it came to her nieces and nephews. She was a baby whisperer, loved cuddling, playing games, and reading with them. Aunt "Kor Kor" was the best aunt and godmother anyone could ask for, a role she took pride in.
Kori's vibrant spirit and enthusiasm will be missed by everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love and pure joy will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry her memory in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 19th 11am – 1pm at Bonney Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd,
SeaTac, WA.
Rest easy, Kori Ann Fitzpatrick. Your light will always shine brightly in our hearts.
