Kristen Boyd Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Kristen was born in Boise, Idaho to Karen and Kevin Sheffield. Her family moved to Oregon very early in her life. Kristen spent most of her childhood and early 20's in the Salem area before moving to Bend. Kristen completed some college pursuing a career in criminal justice. Kristen worked many jobs in her life. She worked at McDonald's as a teenager. She worked at Jeld Wen doing window manufacturing. Later, she worked at the state hospital, she spent several years doing medical billing and coding for several companies in Bend as well as delivering pizzas for Domino's. She dreamed of one day running her own storage unit business.
Kristen loved the outdoors and exploring the beauty of nature. She enjoyed fishing, rock hounding, mushroom picking, camping and just about any other activity that led her to the great outdoors on one of her many adventures. Her favorite place in the world to get away to was Summer Lake because it embodies many of the wonders of nature that she just could not get enough of. She dreamed of one day retiring there.
Kristen is survived by her husband Scott, her children Maddox and McKenzie, her parents Karen and Bob Sours, her siblings Stephanie and Daniel and their children who were Kristen's nieces and nephews that she absolutely adored. Kristen had a lot of love to give and always loved to help people. Kristen's two cats Nala and Pretzel will continue on with Scott and Maddox.
