Kristie Renee Tomaro, 50, passed away after a short illness at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Anthony Carmen Solazzo, Jr. and Elizabeth Wilmoth Solazzo. She attended Southern Alamance High School and graduated from Alamance Community College where she earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Information Systems Technology. Kristie worked at UNC Hospitals, The Times News and Belk and had recently started a new career at Alamance Community College in their Information Systems Department.
Kristie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnold Charles Wilmoth and Doskey Wilmoth, Anthony Carmen Solazzo, Sr. and Alberta Marie Solazzo; one uncle, Ronald Dean Wilmoth; two aunts, Alberta Solazzo Braxton and Janet Louise Solazzo; and loving extended family members, including great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her children, Emma Hope Tomaro (Javier) and Rachel Faith Tomaro of Graham; her sister, Nikki King (Ron); aunts, Charlene Wilmoth Teague (Steve), Gloria Gay Wilmoth Ingle (Curtis); along with niece, Zoe King and nephew, Logan King of Graham. She is also survived by a longtime friend, Denise Wicker and many loving cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025. A funeral service will follow at Cedar Cliff Methodist Church on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be at her parents' home.
