Maryann Tomaro Obituary

For 26 years, Maryann dedicated herself to nursing at JFK Hospital until her retirement in 2000. Renowned for her culinary skills, she mastered the art of Italian dishes, crafting pasta and sauce in the Sicilian traditions. Maryann's love for Elvis's music, passion for sewing, and avid reading, spanning Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Romance Novels, defined her leisure moments.
Together with her husband, Maryann indulged in collecting animal statues, glassware, and amassing a vast collection of VHS and DVD movies. Despite her age, Maryann maintained her independence, continuing to manage her home, cleaning, and refreshing her curtains until her last days.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset, NJ, on Thursday, February 8th, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Gleason Funeral Home. Maryann will be laid to rest at St Peters Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
