Kristine "Kris" Marie Campbell, of Salome, Arizona, and of Cambridge, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at M Health Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. She was 58 years old.
Kristine was born on December 29, 1966, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up in Cambridge where she was an outgoing and spunky child who loved animals, especially riding her beloved horse, Lighting. She attended Cambridge High School, where she was on the dance team before graduating in 1985.
Kris married her first husband right after high school and was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Ashley and Stephanie. Kris worked at the Cambridge State hospital for a few years and then was a stay-at-home mom and ran in-home daycare. In 1995 she began her 20-year career at the Cambridge Medical Center.
In 2004, Kris married her second husband and was blessed with her third daughter Jocelyn before the couple later separated.
On June 28, 2014, Kris married the love of her life Chris Campbell in a ceremony at the Siloa Lutheran Church near Braham. After retiring in 2022, Kris and Chris moved to Salome, Arizona where they created a 2nd family of friends and neighbors, including 2nd dad Doug and 2nd mom Nancy. Kris loved crafting, sewing, making jewelry, and rock hunting for geodes.
An avid traveler, Kris enjoyed numerous cruises, a trip to Germany, and a dude ranch to ride horses. Her favorite place was always "the beach", with St. Petersburg, Florida being her top choice. A lover of the sun, Kris could be found sunbathing wherever the rays could be found. She enjoyed putting on her cowboy boots and attending a rodeo or riding side by side through the countryside.
Always faithful, Kris grew closer to God in Arizona where she enjoyed attending Bible Studies and developing her relationship with the Lord. Most of all, Kris loved her family. She was a proud grandma and supported her grandkids in all their activities. She will be remembered as a confident, caring, true to herself, God-loving, daughter, wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Fleck and father-in-law Elver "Al" Campbell.
She is survived by her parents, Murl and Patricia Fleck; husband Chris Campbell; daughters, Ashley (Luke) Sutton, Stephanie (Dale) Collison, and Jocelyn Irwin; step-daughter Carrie (Andrew) Nybeck; grandchildren, Grace, Jackson, Felicity, Coby, Raiden, Arjuna "RJ", Winston, Cruz, Thor, Riley, Hunter, and Liam; siblings, Sheila (Jeff) Oldenburg, Michelle (Brian) Gamble, Randy (Dianna) Fleck, Timothy (June) Fleck, Scott Putratz, and Amelia (Paul) Bruegl; mother-in-law Shirley Campbell; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Siloa Lutheran Church of Braham. Kristine Campbell Funeral Service
