BAXTER CHAPEL-Kristopher "KRIS" Devin Fields, 35 of Baxter, TN, was born January 31, 1989 in Cookeville and passed away, Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Kris was a 2008 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. He served as an assistant football coach with the Upperman Football team in the past. He enjoyed playing basketball, but loved football, especially Michigan football. He also loved hunting and fishing.
An outdoorsman, he worked with his dad on the farm, helping with chores and growing and cultivating.
Kris, a beloved figure in the Baxter Community loved family and friends and spending time with them. He enjoyed helping others, even in the end he was an organ donor.
Kris was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church in the Cedar Hill Community in Putnam County, TN.
He was preceded in death by grandparents: Bennett Odell and Mary Douglas Beasley Fields, Kenneth and Roxie Padgett Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memory, parents Kenneth and Linda Moore Fields of Baxter, brothers Kenny (Lisa) Fields of Louisville, KY, Keith Fields of Buffalo, N.Y., nieces and nephews: Bennett Fields, Eliza Fields, Margot Fields, Clive Fields and Eleanor Fields, aunts and uncles: Brenda Fields, Jim ( Michelle) Fields all of Baxter, Karen Moore of Columbia, Kevin Moore and Kenny Allen Moore both of Taylor, MI, and a host of cousins.
A funeral service for Kris will be Thursday, December 19 at 2 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home, 532 4th Avenue South, Baxter, TN 38544. Bro. Josh Sherman will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.
A private family burial will be held at Chestnut Mound United Methodist Church Cemetery at a later date.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or Toys for Tots.
